Lee Coleé, singer, actress, entertainer

For over 25 years Lee Colee' has entertained audiences from as far away as Anchorage, Alaska to New York City. A concert artist and high energy entertainer, Lee specializes in intimate cabaret productions and music theatre.

Raised as a dancer as well as a well rounded vocalist Lee has appeared as an actress in commercials, voice overs, countless theatre and opera venues and now teaches voice and vocal performance in her home studio in Wimberley, TX.

A member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and a member of the National Federation of Musicians, Local 433, Lee is also a director of over 30 productions for The Wimberley Players and corporate entertainment packages with clients as far away as Dallas and Las Vegas. Each summer she holds a music theatre boot camp for kids 8-15 that have sold out for the past seven years.

Her most recent role was Aldonza in the sell out production of Man of La Mancha with the Wimberley Players. Other recent highlights on her resume' include Christine in a concert version of Phantom of the Opera, Lizzie in 110 in the Shade, which she also directed, a stint with Esther's Follies in Austin, TX, and an annual New Year's Eve Concert Series. Other favorite roles include Diana and Connie in productions of A Chorus Line, Lady Chiang in The King and I, and working on whatever the current project happens to be.

With a career that has included leading roles in opera (Despina in Cosi Fan Tutti, The Pirates of Penzance) Off Broadway and professional touring companies, rock, jazz and country bands, weddings, and even singing telegrams, Lee had no idea that her childhood appearance on one of the last episodes of The Ted Mack Amateur Hour would kick start a life so diverse and surprising.

Lee attended The American Academy of Performing Arts in New York as well as the Sonia Moore Theatre Institute. For intense voice coaching, she is an alumni of Texas Woman's University and a former student of Lanelle Blanton and Cary Michaels of Texas State University in San Marcos, TX as well as a public relations major at Central State University of Oklahoma.

An extensive dance background includes the Phil Black dance studio in New York City and Tulsa Civic Ballet where Lee excelled in tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance styles, especially the techniques of Bob Fosse. Today, Lee still choreographs her own shows and puts her tap shoes on at various jazz concerts.
